La Foglia - Italian Restaurant

Natalia hosted our weeding reception meal this weekend and all I can say is wow!!! Everything has been perfect! From the ever changing planning to delivering a fantastic day of great food and atmosphere. All of our guests made a special comment on how great the afternoon was! First time here. Booked a table for a works meal. The restaurant was full, which is always a good sign. Fast and friendly service. Food portions were generous and everyone said how good their meals tasted. I had a prawn dish (the name escapes me) but it was very yummy, and I was able to bring my left overs home. Will definitely be booking a visit again.

We went to La Foglia with a friend of mine and our son at the weekend. We had not booked a table but they managed to fit us in and provide a high chair. The food was delicious. I chose the vegetable ravioli and would definitely have it again! The vanilla cheesecake was also very good. They also boiled some vegetables for our son. Service was good and when we left the restaurant was very busy, with most tables taken on a Saturday night so would advise to book ahead if you are going on a weekend!

Wasn’t our first choice however we were really lucky out first choice was closed for refurbishment because La Foglia is a gem. Stopped for lunch with the family and service was polite and efficient, food was amazingly good and the price was incredibly reasonable.

La Foglia allowed us to exclusively hire their incredible restaurant to celebrate my 50th birthday with 30 friends & family for a 3-course lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We had use of their restaurant from noon until 5.30pm. Natalia and all the team were incredible; friendly, professional and so accommodating in every aspect. The set menu options were brilliant and allowed us to cater for toddlers, vegans and everyone else in between. Every guest was extremely impressed with the quality of the ingredients and the skill in both cooking and presentation. There was not one complaint from any guest about any course. I had the steak as my main and the quality was evident in every bite. Cooked to perfection (rare) and serviced with a delicious peppercorn sauce, that is so well balanced. The veg here is always cooked to perfection too with carrots/cauliflower/broccoli always crunchy and never soft. Their rosemary potatoes wedges are lovely too. This wasn’t my first time here; I often use it for both personal and business visits. It is, by some distance, the best restaurant in Banbury and you will have to drive a long way from Banbury to find another restaurant that can match it in all aspects (service, quality of ingredients, presentation). After a few days spent with friends in Banbury, we had the pleasure of dining at this fabulous Italian restaurant. The dishes we tasted truly exemplify the finest Italian cuisine! The courtesy and friendliness of the owner and his colleagues at the table pleasantly surprised us. It was a wonderful experience, and as an Italian gourmet, I can only offer you my warmest compliments!
